Having purchased this item, I subsequently travelled to Italy where I discovered the pins were too large for the sockets over there. It seems this is a CEE 7/17 which is only suitable for France and Germany. I'm sure these products work perfectly well for their intended markets, but it would have been nice if there was some more detail specifying the exact countries these plugs are suitable for when I bought these on Amazon.

This package comes with a European style adapter and a USA adapter. You can use these with any device which has a UK 3 pin plug on it to allow you to use them in Europe and the USA. They do exaclty what they say and at great value too. Don't wait until you get to the airport, as these are around £7 for each adapter.
